It’s still hailing

April 18, 2011

and raining, and in the 30’s at night… but there’s enough sun out there for things to look promising vis-a-vis tilling up our main plots this week.  And just in time. Our porch (aka: hardening-off zone) is full of tiny seedlings weathering the cold and wind and waiting to be released from their pots. And the greenhouse is full, too… seed potatoes are sprouting, onion sets are breaking through their mesh bags, beans are jumping in their seed packets. Planting time can’t come soon enough around here.

Stay tuned for pictures as this month’s digging/tilling/planting frenzy begins.
