I just had to share…

November 4, 2009

Nadine just sent this email to a few of us, and it cracked me right up. So I had to pass it along since it so accurately portrays what’s going on at the Dirtbox homestead:

“Jon made the most awesome granola last night. So, seriously now…
It’s time to take inventory:
·         Chickens… check.
·         Llamas… check.
·         Growing our own veggies, and canning, drying, freezing them for winter… check.
·         Knitting, felting, quilting…. Check
·         Slow cooker.
·         Cheese/ yogurt making
·         Granola making, bread baking
·         Leg hair… check, check.
·         Homemade artwork on the walls.
·         Wearing the same jeans and wool sweater 4 days in a row… check.
·         Natural cleaning products… check.
·         Uggs. Check.
·         Homemade cider, kombucha… check.
·         Hunting for mushrooms
·         Decorating the house with moss, twigs, nuts and berries… check.
·         Baking pumpkin pies from scratch.
·         Cats… check.
·         Quinoa.
·         Reading material on the coffee table…  mother jones, national geographic adventure magazine, country living, peaceful valley farm supply catalogue.
·         Homemade Christmas presents.
·         Solar showers.
·         Felted soap. (need I say more).
I’m thinking about getting a Costco membership just to come back to center… any other ideas? Caribbean vacation? Trip to Ikea? No-nonsense haircut?”

Like I said earlier…love your life…and the rest will fall into place!
(especially enjoyed the leg hair item on the list 😉
Is there stand-up comedy or book writing in your future???
