The lyrical genius that is our friend Fester…

July 15, 2009

Please welcome our dear friend Fester as the newest contributor to the Dirtbox project. Fester is a pal from our hiking days, and he is as goofy as they come. Unfortunately he resides out in Virginia, but he is sending his support through poetry, having so generously agreed to share his lyrical musings about the farm with us all on a daily (or every few days) basis.

So to cut to the chase, I’d like to present the initial masterwork. This piece finds its motivation from the fact that our sibling llamas, Haysus and Como, have taken a rather strong liking to each other. In an unnatural sense, if you will. So these lyrics are meant to be portrayed through song, from our future band – The Incestuous Llamas. WARNING: NOT SUITABLE FOR OUR SENSITIVE READERS!!!

Spit on Your Sis, By Fester

you came out of my mama/but I wanna put it to you llama/
sexin you’d be so fine/ like your lashes on my mind/

when i get you in a kush/ you’ll be feeling my push/                                                                                        just wave your tail in the air and I’ll show you what I’m alpaca-ing

well, now. i really have to object. think of our young readership! the ideas they’re going to come away with after reading this!!! my young friends, llamas and alpacas are VERY different animals. haysus isn’t ‘alpaca-ing’ anything or anyone! if anything, he’s ‘llama-ing’ his sister.

    fester. really, now.

Ah, the Fester. I have taught this one my ways, eh? He knows what it is to love the family, eh? He feels my llama soul, eh? I will think of this Fester, the next time the sun is hot. And my sister beckons to me. And then … well, you know what happens then.

And when I scribe my life’s work, the llama sutra, I shall dedicate it to this Fester.

It is the lie that tells the greater truth, to paraphrase a rascally, womanizing, andalusian painter. I can’t help it if alpacas are sexier/hilarious-er.

Oh yeah and Haysus, call me.
