Predator captured!

June 8, 2009

It was a gopher. A big, fat, lettuce-fed gopher. I’ll spare you all the grizzly photos I took of it as it was shuffling off this mortal coil, but needless to say, I’ve never seen such big teeth on a rodent before. For you animal lovers out there, be comforted in the fact that this rodent led a rich and full life, frolicking in our lettuce beds like a Roman emperor and died a quick and pain-free death.

Pacha and I seem to have started a trend of predating upon the resident predators… the next morning, we were gifted a giant RUS-like mole by EZ and her 5 kittens. Right on the doorstep. Thanks, EZ. At long last, these cats are earning their keep around here.
